When I got this book, I was blown by the beauty of this book! The quality of the paper made the illustrations pop and it was such a good choice to do the book in hard cover, which added to the beauty of the book. But let's get to the story...it was very nicely done. Beautiful imaginative story of triumph and tribulation. Also about a boy who has Autism, which shows that these children CAN overcome. Superior quality book!

My son with autism loves this book! I read it to him regularly and despite his developmental delays, he understands that the main character, Amani, has autism. I think he identifies with him because of this and the book definitely holds his attention. Thank you to the authors for creating this wonderful and inspiring book! Very well written and great illustrations!!!

Absolutely loved this book! As a special education teacher, I deal with a variety of children with different personalities and behaviors (some requiring more time and attention than others). This book is great to share to help the children understand that they are all equally special and equally as important to me.

I absolutely loved this book! It was very informative and highlighted effectively what it means to have an autism sibling. Kids have a hard time with the amount of attention their autism siblings get and it is a lot to grapple with. This book provides the detailed info to create EMPATHY for the sibling by explaining how hard and isolating autism can be. Now armed with info, Sandy can be the best protector of her autism sibling and others who have autism. I think this book gives many lessons that can be great for all children to take advantage of.
